Just posting this here in case someone missed this and might be interested.

At the very beginning of a WWDC 2019 video titled "Bringing OpenGL Apps to Metal", Lionel Lemarié, an engineer at Apple said: "So last year we announced that OpenGL, OpenGL ES and OpenCL are deprecated. They will continue to be supported in iOS 13 and MacOs Catalina, but now is the time to move."

So, if someone else was also worried about Corona getting this done in time, it seems that there's not much need to worry anymore.

I was a little worried - I started some thread about it somewhere but his gives us some breathing room.  Thanks for the update link.
