Hello forum,
I am new to developing apps using this awesome SDK. I am asking for the right directions to build an education app like doodle English. Any resources will be appreciated. Thank you.

That's a very broad question. You'll find you will get more help and better answers if you ask more specific questions.

I've Googled Doodle English and gotten MANY hits can your provide links so we know what you mean?

Do you mean the app associated with this site?

https://www.doodleenglish.com/

Android version:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ezeducation.doodleenglish

If, "Yes".  This is a complety do-able project.  However, not for a beginner.  You'll want to get your feet under you first and learn how to do fundamental stuff with Corona.

To put things in perspective, as an experienced developer I could probably prototype the app (grey art, basic interface, raw functionality minus any server based content) in about two days.  Then to polish it up (keep in mind I'm just copying an existing app), in a week or two (again w/o server content).  If there is server based work do be done that might take a bit longer.

A new person with limited experience on the other hand might need a few months or more (very dependent upon skill and current general programming knowledge level.)

The good news is Corona is definitely the way to go for an app like this.  You can make it and then easily distribute it on iOS, Android, OS X, Windows, and HTML 5.

Final note: Most of the work in making apps like the one linked is content.  Once you have the mechanics in place, almost all your time will go into adding new content.
