When building, I use the "Copy to device" alternative to test on a new iPhone XR, but I keep getting this error message:

ERROR: no USB connected devices detected (if one is attached, try reconnecting it)

When plugged in, the device is recognized by my Mac. I have clicked the "Trust" button at first connection. The device is visible in Xcode -> Devices and the developer setup has been done. I have regenerated the provisioning profile to include this device. I have tried all USB ports on my mac. I use Corona 2018.3449 and iOS 12.1.4

What have I missed?

Can you copy the app manually by dragging it into the "application" section in the Xcode -> Devices? Recently I pushed one of my apps that way. I don't have one of the new iPhone but my wife does.

The problem is with new iPad Pros and the new XR's and such is that Apple changed the UDID format on the devices. We use a third-party command line tool to install the app for you. That tool has not caught up with the new UDID format. I got an iPad Pro for Christmas and I'm experiencing the same issue. We are kind of waiting for that tool to update so we can update.

Ok, thanks!

Have you checked if the makers of the third party tool you mention are working on it? I mean, do we know that the tool is still being supported?

Still doesn't work...

@Rob: before I download another daily build, can you please check if this has been fixed or not?

I don't think this is a high priority. Just use the alternative way to install the app on iOS.

Hope they update the tool you use soon. There are ways around this bug but the workflow is was soooo nice when this was working properly.

Not sure if this is related, but we're seeing a lot of weird behaviour from the XR - it appears to not be running some commands that it should be - e.g. a print statement in main.lua doesn't get logged to the console when it runs. It's also been unable to load the store with our code that runs fine on all the other Apple devices we've tested.

We're running on Corona 3468.

We won't be looking at this until after Android 64 bit. Corona is open source, so the community can look at updating those tools until we can get chance to look at them.
