Corona Simulator[7570:940b] CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9806)

Why does this message appear in the console when i build my ios app? What does it mean?

Im using a adhoc distribution profile if that is important.

Happy coding  :D

Im getting this with version 1259 using a distribution profile too. I can't upload to itunes connect, not sure if this is causing that... Did anyone solved this?

Hi!

I got the error message sometimes. But in the end I got a build with no handshake error.

Are you, like me, getting the message that you are missing the metadata.xml when you are using Application Loader?

If so, here is the answer to that: http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/39578-submission-to-app-store-unable-to-find-metadataxml/

It seems like disabling the sync with dropbox during the build makes the handshake error disappear :D

@reyanthonyrenacia, are you getting this error in your logs?  No one on this post is discussing anything about facebook.

If you are not seeing this specific error in your logs, please open a new thread as to not distract this one.

Thanks

Rob

Ok.

I have tested building with dropbox sync enabled and disabled during the build.

With dropbox sync enabled I get 60% handshake error (version 1249).

With the dropbox sync disabled I get 10% handshake error.

So its not perfect, but it helps a lot :D And it takes less time if you temporarly disable the dropbox sync during the build.

You can always turn the syncing back on after you have finished the build ;)

Hi Guys,

I am also getting this error "CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9806)" at the end of Terminal Window while creating iOS build. Ironically, the build gets created perfectly. When I install it on my device, the process gets stuck on "installing..." phase on device.

Tried replacing Xcode's older version with newer version also. Nothing has worked but.I have tried doing all with simple "Hello World" code too. But got stuck at same point.

Please suggest why this error comes and how to deal with it.

What version of Corona SDK are you trying to build with?

Have you tried building the Hello World sample app?

I just got this error block at the end of a distribution build, using public release 2511 and Xcode 6:

Dec 17 14:08:15.627: CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9806)

Dec 17 14:08:15.896: CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9802)

Dec 17 14:08:16.103: CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9824)

Dec 17 14:08:16.104: NSURLConnection/CFURLConnection HTTP load failed (kCFStreamErrorDomainSSL, -9824)

I used to receive this error all the time with older builds, but had hoped that finally moving on to the latest version would eliminate them. Very frustrating.
