I'd like to announce that my first game, Beetle Bounce, is approved. Thank you all for all the help. I was an utter newbie when I first started a year ago. The super helpful Corona Labs community and the dedicated and talented staff members made my journey not only pleasurable and rewarding but also possible.

Congrats, Naomi. This is a fairly unique concept :) Wish you all the success. Remember us little people when you make your millions.

I wonder, though, what is it with women game designers and destroying little bugs. First Centipede (first video game designed by a woman) and now this. You can't tell me it's a coincidence.

Huge congrats on your first game, how awesome!

... I admit I've made a few bug killing prototypes in my time. To be fair once was inspired by a giant Australian cockroach that was quite clearly out for my blood. I daresay any (in)sane developer would have done the same thing.

Looking forward to picking this up once it is on iOS in a few days :)

I'm a bit nervous, actually, about the Apple App Store August 2nd release. I'm assuming that once I select App Stores world-wide (by selecting all) and set the Availability Date to August 2nd, Beetle Bounce will be automatically released on August 2nd -- and I'm hoping my assumption is correct here. But then... do they use GMT? Or do they use local time??

Even though we scheduled to release our app on Mar 1,2012, We saw sales from Feb-29. So we think they are using GMT.

The Google Play version went out! I decided to publish it and check to make sure it works before Apple App Store releases world-wide tomorrow while I'm still asleep. I had a moment of fright when it appeared on Google Play but it would give me the dreadful error "the item you were attempting to purchase could not be found". Well, after an hour of wait, the error went away. Whew.

Thank you, @Paul_G. The Loading screen uses timer only when there's nothing else that should happen before the scene changes to the next scene.

I've encountered a bug. While the Game was running and no shot was left, I clicked on the screen and it asked me to end game and skip the 10 second countdown. But then some Beetles were still moving in the background and I scored enough points to earn a Bonus Shot, so I clicked "no" to continue game. Then I wasn't able to touch anything. I couldn't abort game but I couldn't shoot either.

Hey, @Paul_G, thanks for the report. This is the first bug that's been reported since the game has been released. I'm glad to know you enjoy the game enough to encounter this. I'd say it's darn rare to have this come up (and not at all easy to quickly reproduce this experience.)

Anyhow, if you still remember, will you let me know:

1) What was the countdown state when you tapped the screen to bring up the popup window that asks if you want to skip countdown -- was it closer to 10 or closer to 1?

2) Was the bonus shot awarded? (i.e., did you see one of the shot slot change back to gold on screen?)
