thanks all for the nice words!

@MrMells: it has been a crazy time. I've been developping 3.5 months, Alex was doing art all the time. and after 4 weeks, we changed the whole game, and alex almost restarted. i am sure he can tell you how many sprites he did. amazing work, and i thought it was an easy game to start with.... :)

oh, and what i forgot... alex also did sound, art for the website etc. working only 80%. I guess i screwed him. making games is all about passion!!

@Alex - thanks :) The iMac is a blessing when you work as much as I do. (I tend to kill laptops much faster than I should.)

Also, every successful game developer should wear shorts with sockets and cheap t-shirts, I guess? :P

I guess that I spent quite some time, hehe :)
The main character has around 280 frames, and overall it looks like there are more than 800 bitmaps of sprites, tiles & GUI stuff.

Thank you! As I thought, I spent the entire night + half a day on it. But my Boss is happy, so I'm happy too :) And I like what I did, so it's win-win!

The problem with the 27" is that I know next time I need to get a new desktop I wont be able to settle for anything smaller, which is kind of funny because when I first used this machine I actually got motion sickness. (I hadn't used a desktop in ages and being so close to a huge screen felt whacked out to me.)

I think a night + half a day is very impressive considering how awesome the trailer is. I could try for months and not make anything half as good - you should be very proud :)

its 20min.ch, most read newspaper in switzerland (700'000 daily, reach of almost 2Mio people).

they screwed up the online article, I guess i have to wait till its back. I just can give you the link to the picture above.

...and soon, Grooh is in another big swiss newspaper...stay tuned!

First of all congratulations on your game the graphics are very attractive (Totoro) But the concept of the game is also very good. Now I know many people dont like to share their sales and im not asking you to do it but I have always wonder whats the "Range" of sells once you are at the top? I did research and you see all kinds of numbers so truly I think is best ask someone that has made it.

I know people dont share very often... my experiences: top 50 usa are about 1000 dollars a day, #1 in a small country like switzerland is about 2500. but its very hard to stay there sadly. 50% of our sales are us based.

As I said on twitter - Top 5 apps for kids in Poland is... about 10 Euro per day :) But it's ver small market for such kind of apps. If you hit top 10 games in Poland is about 800-900 Euro per day (from my friend experience).
