Much thanks to Corona!!

My latest project built with Corona was just approved by Apple and is being released simultaneously for iPhone and Android tomorrow (Sept. 22). Building with Corona, the code base for both the iPhone and Android versions are exactly the same with the following three exceptions:
- Sound files are *.ogg on Android & *.caf on iPhone
- Icon image format is slightly different
- My 'Lite' versions have links back to iTunes App Store or Android Market depending on platform

I have a YouTube video demonstration of the game here:

The app store links should be as follows (it will be a couple of hours before they are live and I can test):
ASCII Invaders
ASCII Invaders Lite

I'll have Android QR Codes available shortly at my application web page here: ASCII Invaders

Thanks!! It's been a lot of hard work (made much easier with Corona) and it's great to finally see it out the door.

BTW,

Here's some corrected iTunes links:
ASCII Invaders
ASCII Invaders Lite

According to one of the Apple help docs on the developer website the previous links should have worked but they didn't...

Thanks for the comments. It's great to finally see my vision see the light of day and find that others appreciate it also.

And LOADS of thanks to the great product Corona has delivered!!! It really amazed me in retrospect that there was so little difference in the code base between delivering for iPhone and Android at the same time. As an one person shop there's no way I could have done a simultaneous release without Corona. And there should be an iPad version out with another week or two of work (mainly just to account for the larger, more square-ish form factor).

Sincerely,
Stephen

I demoed Ascii invaders to a reporter friend of mine today during lunch, I had my iPhone and Droid running it simultaneously. Looked awesome. He liked it. He is a big proponent of cross platforms frameworks, and gets it. It is nice to be able to showcase the cross platform solution from a single codebase.

And like I said before, the game is so retro, that demoing it, actually adds a kick of old school atari'sm to the discussion,

Very nice, great job! It reminds me of a game I had for my Apple II back in the day, "Space Quarks" ... not exact, but definitely reminds me of it.

Great job and congrats on your release!
